The Internal Advisory Committee consists of four members. The purpose of this committee is to provide guidance to the COBRE Director in monitoring the progress of the research and develop opportunities of information exchange, seminar presentations, and research training opportunities for students and fellows. The following individuals are members of the Internal Advisory Committee:

  • Dr. Conchita Zuazaga,COBRE Director, Professor of Physiology, University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus.
  • Dr. Emma Fernandez-Repollet, Professor of Pharmacology and RCMI Program Director, University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus.
  • Dr. Brad Weiner, Professor of Chemistry and PR-EPSCoR Director, University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus.
  • Dr. Gladys Escalona de Motta, Chancellor, University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus.
