June 2002 Workshop

The Microarray Facilities of the COBRE program offered a workshop for Laser Capture Microdissection (LCM). This training was directed to graduate students and postdoctorals, who were interested in using the LCM in their research.
Twelve participants in the workshop were guided through the complete process including, tissue sample preparation, Laser Capture Microdissection, RNA isolation and the RT-PCR reaction. We had the presence of two scientist of the Arcturus Company (Supplier of the PixCell II LCM system) who helped us in all procedures and troubleshooting involved in the different LCM steps.
